Folkestone
Gardens/ Skatepark
Project where an intervention with the environment was asked for.
Group was given a Skatepark within Folkestone Gardens; the park surrounding the skatepark became park of our understanding of the space; observing and documenting the activity within the gardens, how this was directed by paths, access points and the skatepark.
We began to look at how the space was labelled as public, however it had the potential to be private or personal to users of the skatepark, this fed into the relationship of types of movement and time spent within a space with the sense of ownership of a space.
